Sparkly Cut Crease Makeup Tutorial - Step 1 - Prime the Eyes
Prime the eyes using either a concealer or eye primer and don’t set it, this allows the shadows to stick better and have more colour pay off. I use the makeup revolution fast base concealer in the shade ‘C2’.
Sparkly Cut Crease Makeup Tutorial - Step 2 - Pack a Dark Shade of Purple on the Eye
Pack a dark purple shade on the crease in a rounded shape. I used the shade ‘Enchanted’ from the Makeup Revolution Soph X Makeup Revolution Extra Spice palette.
Sparkly Cut Crease Makeup Tutorial - Step 3 - Lightly Buff the Edges
Step three: Lightly buff the edges of the dark purple with a lighter purple, keeping the same rounded shape. I used ‘Mulled Wine’ from the same palette as before.
Sparkly Cut Crease Makeup Tutorial - Step 4 - Cutting the Crease Again
Step four: Cut the crease. I again used the same concealer as I used to prime my lid and I left it quite messy as the outer corner, so it was easier to then blend my shadows in for a seamless blend.
Sparkly Cut Crease Makeup Tutorial - Step 5 - Packing at an Angle
Step five: Pack the first shade, the dark purple, on the outer corner at an angle.
Sparkly Cut Crease Makeup Tutorial - Step 6 - Packing with a Lighter Purple
Step six: Repeat the previous stage with the lighter purple, packing the shade directly next to the darker shade on an angle.
Sparkly Cut Crease Makeup Tutorial - Step 7 - Packing on a Pigment
Step seven: Pack on a pigment on the remaining open space. I used Mac’s ‘Kitschmas’. Take some of the lighter purple and tap that shade on where it meets the pigment if the line becomes harsh.
Sparkly Cut Crease Makeup Tutorial - Step 8 - Repeating the Crease on the Lower Lash Line
Step eight: Repeat the crease colours on the lower lash line. Keep the darker purple close to the lash line and diffuse with the lighter shade. I also added a light pink in the water line which was ‘Eye Bright’ by Benefit Cosmetics.
Sparkly Cut Crease Makeup Tutorial - Step 9 - Add Mascara
Step nine: Add mascara to the top and bottom lashes, I used ‘Roller Lash’ by Benefit Cosmetics. I also added highlight, which was ‘Like A Diamond’ by Doll Beauty, to my inner corner and brow bone. Optional Step: Add lashes to complete the look.
